Over the week to September 27, 23,137 BTC were withdrawn from Binance. Counting from September 20, the reserves of the largest crypto exchange shrank by almost 40,000 BTC. At the same time, billions of dollars in stablecoins flowed onto the platform from large holders.
How large is this outflow
BTC left Binance more intensively in a single week only in June 2023. Back then, 44,942 BTC left the exchange. An outflow from an exchange means coins are being moved from trading wallets into personal storage. Such BTC is no longer in quick access for sale on the spot market.
What is happening with stablecoins
At the same time, the volume of stablecoins on the exchange is growing. Among large holders, it increased by roughly 40% in a month and a half. On August 15, the figure stood at around $21.7 billion, and by the end of September it had grown to $30.5 billion. For comparison, at the peak in October 2025, the volume exceeded $61 billion.
What this means for the market
The result is an unusual combination. On one hand, Bitcoin is leaving the exchange and becoming less available for quick sale. On the other hand, the volume of dollar liquidity in the form of stablecoins is increasing. This could mean that large participants are simultaneously reducing the supply of BTC on the exchange and preserving capital for potential purchases. By itself, such a signal does not guarantee price growth, but it changes the balance of available liquidity.
What is happening with the Bitcoin price
At the same time, BTC itself remains in a sideways range for now. Since September 21, the price has been moving roughly between $82,500 and $87,400. The current level is around $86,266. The opening of 2026 took place at around $87,570, so Bitcoin is still trading below the year's starting mark.
Why the range matters
When the price stays in a narrow corridor for a long time while exchange liquidity changes, a breakout from the range can be sharp. A decline in BTC reserves reduces the volume of coins available for sale. A rise in stablecoins, on the contrary, increases the potential volume of funds for purchases. That is why the nearest breakout from the range may be accompanied by a stronger move than an ordinary intraday impulse.
What's next
On the upside, the main reference point remains the $87,400-$87,570 area. On the downside, the market continues to watch the $82,500 area. If BTC exits this corridor, attention will be on whether the move is confirmed by new capital flows and changes in exchange reserves.
Fourth week trading one corridor?
A range of roughly $5,000 provides enough movement for trading even without a full-fledged trend. But the result depends not only on the markup and entry point, but also on the available nominal. Prop trading allows you to get a large company trading account after passing the evaluation stage and work within established risk limits for a share of the profit. It is better to understand the mechanics before the current range is finally broken.
