Official trading rules and prohibited practices

1. Evaluation Format

Vanta Trading uses a one-step model. There is no second stage: the trader buys an evaluation, meets the profit target, and receives a funded account.
All Markets format — cryptocurrencies, forex, commodities, indices, and stocks are available simultaneously on one account, over 1,000 instruments. There are no separate challenges for individual markets.
Account sizes — $1,000 (Kickstarter), $5,000 (Starter), $10,000 (Tier I), $25,000 (Tier II), $50,000 (Tier III), and $100,000 (Tier IV).
No time limit for completion. The tier of an active evaluation cannot be upgraded — only purchasing a new one is available. Separate trading credentials are issued for each evaluation, and identity verification is not required at the evaluation stage.

2. Profit Target

The target is 10% of the purchased account size and is the same for all plans: as the account grows, only the dollar amount increases. On a $25,000 account, the target is $2,500; on a $100,000 account, it's $10,000.
The evaluation ends either by reaching the target or by breaching the loss limit. There is no minimum number of trading days, and no maximum either.

3. Loss Limits

Two independent limits of 5% apply, both calculated from the starting balance and never moving with profits.
Rule 1, static balance limit — the account balance must not fall below the starting balance by more than 5% at any point in time.
Rule 2, static equity limit — daily at 00:00 UTC, equity is checked, including unrealized results on open positions: it must not be below the starting balance by more than 5%.
Both rules apply equally on the evaluation and on the funded account. On a $10,000 account, the threshold is $9,500 and remains unchanged, even if the balance grows to $11,000.
Example — $50,000 account, threshold $47,500. By the time of the check, closed trades have resulted in a loss of $1,800, open positions show a minus of $900. Equity equals $47,300, Rule 2 is breached.

4. Consequences of Breach

Breaching either of the two rules at the evaluation stage means immediate disqualification; on a funded account, it means account closure.
Reinstatement is impossible: resets and free retries are not provided; a new attempt is only possible by purchasing a new evaluation.
Activity requirement — if no trades are opened within 60 days after activation, the account is deleted. After the first trade, the trading period is unlimited.

5. Funded Account Terms

The account is activated immediately after reaching the target. The profit target is removed, both 5% limits remain.
Trading is conducted in seven-day cycles, and the reward is calculated from the realized profit of the cycle.
Trader's share — 100%. The firm retains 0%, including on funded accounts.

6. Scaling Program

Increases are conducted once a quarter. To participate, two conditions must be met simultaneously: quarterly return of at least 5% and a Sharpe ratio of no less than 1.0.
Scaling ladder — $5,000 → $10,000 → $25,000 → $50,000 → $100,000 → $200,000 → $300,000 → $400,000 → $500,000 → $750,000 → $1,000,000 → $1,500,000 → $2,000,000 → $2,500,000.
Maximum account size — $2,500,000, available to all paid plans. The $1,000 Kickstarter does not participate in the program.

7. Bonus Program

Separately from scaling, there is a performance bonus: with a quarterly return of at least 2% and a Sharpe ratio of no less than 1.0, the trader receives 25% of the quarterly realized PnL.
The bonus is paid on top of the standard 100% share.

8. Leverage

The platform expresses leverage through buying power — the portion of the balance that can be utilized. Each order is checked against three limits simultaneously and is executed only if all three are met: per-position limit, per-asset-class limit, and overall portfolio limit. The check is performed automatically.
Tiers — A: evaluation accounts; B: funded up to $200,000; C: funded from $200,000 to $1,000,000; D: funded from $1,000,000.
Per-position limit (A / B / C / D) — cryptocurrencies 0.5x / 1.0x / 1.5x / 2.0x; forex 2.5x / 5.0x / 7.5x / 10.0x; stocks 0.5x / 1.0x / 1.5x / 2.0x; indices 1.5x / 3.0x / 4.5x / 6.0x; commodities 0.5x / 1.0x / 1.5x / 2.0x; gold 1.0x / 2.0x / 3.0x / 4.0x.
Per-asset-class limit (A / B / C / D) — cryptocurrencies 2x / 2x / 3x / 4x; forex 5x / 10x / 15x / 20x; stocks 1x / 1.5x / 2x / 2x; indices 3x / 6x / 8x / 10x; commodities 2x / 2x / 3x / 4x.
Overall portfolio limit — 6x in tier A, 12x in tier B, 18x in tier C, and 24x in tier D. It is strictly less than the sum of class limits, so it's impossible to max out every class simultaneously.
Spot stock positions are additionally limited by the 2x Reg T overnight margin rule.
An evaluation buyer always operates under tier A, where leverage is half of that on a funded account. The transition to tier B happens automatically.

9. Instruments

Cryptocurrencies — 29 perpetual contracts against USDC: BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, LINK, DOT, TRX, LTC, TAO, SUI, ARB, NEAR, ALGO, ASTER, UNI, AAVE, CRV, HYPE, XMR, ZEC, ENA, ZRO, WLD, PUMP, kPEPE. The market operates 24/7.
Forex — 28 pairs: seven dollar majors, six yen crosses, five euro crosses, four pound crosses, and six crosses of the Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian dollars. Trading around the clock five days a week.
Commodities — 6 instruments: gold, silver, copper, platinum, WTI oil, and natural gas.
Indices — 17 instruments in two forms: three perpetual futures (S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, MSCI South Korea) and fourteen index and international ETFs that trade as spot stocks and are subject to the "stocks" class conditions.
Stocks — over 1,000 spot securities, including all Russell 1000 components, plus 36 ETFs (22 sector and 14 index) and 20 perpetual futures on the largest US names. Spot and futures have different funding costs. Trading during the standard session, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM New York time.

10. Trading Costs

Commission by asset class — cryptocurrencies 0.03%, stocks 0.01%, commodities 0.005%; index futures and forex are commission-free, with the cost built into the spread.
Position rollover fee — for Hyperliquid instruments (cryptocurrencies, commodities, index futures, stock futures), a funding fee at Hyperliquid rates, charged on both long and short positions; for forex, a swap of 3% per annum every 24 hours; for spot stocks, 6.6% per annum on borrowed funds and 3% per annum for borrowing shares on short positions, deducted at 00:00 UTC.
Commissions and rollover fees reduce the balance and directly affect both loss limits.

11. Quotes and Slippage

Quote sources — cryptocurrencies, commodities, index futures, and stock futures from Hyperliquid; forex from Massive (formerly Polygon); spot stocks from Databento and Massive.
Forex slippage — 1 basis point on major dollar pairs in the window from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM New York time and 0.5 points during other hours; for other pairs, 2 and 1 points respectively.
For spot stocks, the BB+ (Bloomberg+) model is applied; for Hyperliquid instruments, calculations are based on the exchange order book.

12. Permitted Practices

Algorithmic trading — advisors and bots are allowed provided the strategy belongs to the trader. Copying your own strategy between your own accounts is permitted.
Trading during news releases is unrestricted.
Holding positions overnight and over weekends is allowed on all markets.
Running multiple evaluations simultaneously on different plans — allowed.
No consistency rule and no daily profit cap: any portion of the result can be achieved in a single day.

13. Prohibited Practices

Trading on third-party signals, using external copy-trading services, and strategies not owned by the trader. Violation results in immediate disqualification from the evaluation or funded account.

14. Purchasing an Evaluation

Payment methods — bank cards and bank transfers via Stripe, cryptocurrency via NowPayments with support for over 50 assets. PayPal payment is announced as coming soon.
Refunds — the evaluation fee is non-refundable, including upon successful completion: it's a participation fee, not a deposit. The fee covers the infrastructure on which trading results are tested.

15. Platform Status

Vanta is a technology platform, not a broker or prop firm. The company does not accept client deposits and does not act as the counterparty to a trader's trades.
All trading is conducted in a simulated environment on the decentralized Vanta Network infrastructure.

Challenges

Terms, schedule and withdrawal methods

1. Profit Split

The trader receives 100% of the profit earned on the funded account. The firm retains 0%. Additionally, a quarterly bonus of 25% of realized PnL may be accrued — see the bonus program.

2. Frequency

Settlements are conducted weekly, every 7 days, based on the realized profit of the completed cycle. The first cycle starts from the moment the funded account is activated.

3. Payout Method

Transfer in US dollars via Stripe. Payouts via PayPal and in cryptocurrency are announced as coming soon. Cryptocurrency is currently accepted only as payment for the evaluation.

4. Minimum Amount

There is no minimum payout threshold — any amount of realized profit is available for transfer.

5. Processing Order

Payout processing is currently done manually; automatic processing is announced as coming soon.

6. Identity Verification

Standard KYC verification via Stripe is mandatory when activating a funded account and is a condition for receiving payouts. KYC is not required to start an evaluation.

7. Transition to a Funded Account

The account is activated immediately after reaching the 10% target; no additional verification of trading results is conducted.

8. Grounds for Withholding a Payout

A payout may be withheld if a violation of platform rules or policies is established. Breaching either of the two loss limits closes the account, and the reward for the incomplete cycle is not paid.

If all rules are followed, the reward is transferred exactly in the calculated amount, without changes or delays.

9. Payout Verification

Each accrual is calculated and confirmed on the blockchain through decentralized infrastructure. The reward amount is determined by the network, not by company employee decisions, which eliminates arbitrary changes to the amount.
