Overnight Nasdaq futures lost 2.4%, and by evening the index was already +2%

After the Democrats' victory in the US midterm elections, Nasdaq-100 futures (contracts on the index of the 100 largest technology companies) fell 2.4% overnight. By 16:11 Moscow time the decline had been fully recovered, and by 17:44 Moscow time the Nasdaq was recording growth of about 2%.

US trading on October 22 opened with a decline, and by 17:27 Moscow time the Nasdaq 100 index had fallen by about 2%. The day before, the same index closed almost unchanged, and after the market close it was up about 1% on futures - the reversal was sharp.
