New BitMart hack: $391K sent to address from $49M theft at crypto exchange Mercado Bitcoin

BitMart founder Sheldon Xia confirmed the November 2 attack and admitted that the platform's security team is "severely understaffed." The exchange itself has been heading toward closure since July and still has not settled with clients.

The AFSA regulator reported on October 20 that the court of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) has banned six crypto platforms from providing and advertising services with digital assets without a license. The ban applies within the financial centre and is not nationwide.
