On Saturday, Bitcoin fell below $80,000 for the first time since October 15 and in four hours wiped out $404.15M in long positions (bets on price increases) — that's 93% of the total $436.44M in liquidations. Over 24 hours, the market forcibly closed $815.26M across 201,012 traders.
On the night of October 5, Bitcoin rose to $86,972, but again failed to consolidate above and returned below $86,000. This is already the second failed attempt to break through the $87,000 zone in a week.
