ESMA Tightens Control Over Stablecoins: Assets Not Compliant with MiCA Must Be Removed by January 8, 2027

ESMA has required MiCA-licensed crypto exchanges, brokers, and custodians to cease services with stablecoins that do not meet European regulatory requirements. A deadline of January 8, 2027 has been set for closing and transferring existing positions.

Nearly 40,000 BTC left Binance - the largest weekly outflow since June 2023

In the week to September 27, 23,137 BTC were withdrawn from Binance, and since September 20 the exchange's reserves have shrunk by almost 40,000 BTC. At the same time, large players increased the volume of stablecoins on the platform, creating a potential reserve of liquidity for future purchases.
