France's budget rejected by 458 deputies: crypto tax and wallet declarations dropped

On November 4, the French National Assembly rejected the revenue section of the 2027 budget bill - 458 deputies voted against. Along with the document, all three crypto amendments we wrote about on November 4 failed at first reading, including the declaration of wallets from €100,000.

On November 3, 2026, the French National Assembly adopted amendment I-2701: owners of cryptocurrency in self-custody wallets worth €100,000 or more will have to report this to the tax authorities once a year. Vote: 150 for, 44 against, 8 abstentions.
