Brazil's largest crypto exchange Mercado Bitcoin suspended deposits and withdrawals on Monday, November 2, after its wallets were emptied across ten blockchains at once. Loss estimates from specialized security firms exceed $40M.
On October 30, US spot Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds through which Bitcoin is bought like a regular stock) lost $643.33 million - more than they had gathered over the previous four days combined.
