Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy): $19.53 billion profit for the quarter and $432 million in Bitcoin sales

Strategy (Michael Saylor's company, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin) reported third-quarter 2026 results with net income of $19.53 billion versus $2.79 billion a year earlier. Almost all of it is paper: it is a revaluation of crypto reserves, not business income.

Metaplanet raises $329M to free Bitcoin from collateral

Japanese Metaplanet announced the issuance of bonds worth ¥52 billion ($329 million). The funds will go toward repaying Bitcoin-backed loans and buying back shares, while the company does not plan to sell its 44,000 BTC.

Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, has 848,000 BTC, but it spent 6 times more on buying back its shares

Strategy bought 334 BTC for $28.7 million in a week, but allocated $176.3 million to buy back STRC preferred shares. The company now holds 848,000 BTC worth approximately $73 billion.
