Net outflow: more stablecoins were withdrawn than deposited to the exchange

The outflow was noted by analyst Darkfost based on CryptoQuant data

Binance accounts for more than 72% of exchange stablecoin reserves

Darkfost sees three reasons and finds no direct link to Bitcoin

  • 05

BTC held above $80,000 in October, with a couple of days left until the end of the month

How much money left the exchange

Net outflow. Users withdrew more stablecoins from the platform than they deposited. Stablecoins are coins with an exchange rate pegged to the dollar.

Who calculated it. Analyst Darkfost drew attention to this based on data from the CryptoQuant service.

  • more than 72% - Binance's share of stablecoin reserves across all exchanges tracked by CryptoQuant
  • Main storage - even after the outflow, Binance remains the industry's leading platform for such money

Why this matters for crypto

It's fuel for demand. Stablecoins in exchange accounts are money already ready to buy assets. The fewer of them on the platform, the less fuel for demand here and now.

Darkfost's three versions. The analyst names three possible reasons for the withdrawal:

  1. Transferring funds to other platforms. The money didn't leave crypto, it changed exchanges.
  2. Withdrawal to personal wallets. This is storage outside the exchange.
  3. Changes in the exchange's own reserves. A technical factor, not trader behavior.

What this means for the trader

A drop in demand is not proven. Darkfost specifically emphasizes: no direct link to Bitcoin's dynamics is visible here.

The main thing: in the near future, Binance will have less money ready to go into the market.

We break down how liquidity and risk on borrowed capital work in the academy.

What happens next

The BTC backdrop. In October, Bitcoin held above $80,000. A few days remain until the end of the month.

November will bring clarity. You need to watch the direction of flows, and the key dates of the month are in the economic calendar.

  • Stablecoins are flowing back to Binance - liquidity on the largest exchange is recovering
  • The outflow continues - it's too early to count on a sustained revival in trading

Waiting for money to return to the market?

Liquidity is tightening. Most people do the same thing: sit in the terminal and wait for volumes to return. But when it happens, the result will be decided not by the entry point but by the nominal: the same 3% on a $2,000 deposit is sixty dollars. In prop trading, the trading account is provided by the company: you pay for the selection, pass it, and work within its limits. The mechanics are easier to break down in a quiet market phase.
