HyroTrader — Firm Details
About Company
HyroTrader is a prop trading platform that provides access to trading capital through a selection model that assesses trader skill. The user goes through a structured challenge where strategy performance and adherence to risk limits (drawdown, loss limits, exposure control) are tested. After qualification, the trader gets access to a funded account and trades within the specified risk management parameters with a profit split. Various asset classes are supported, including cryptocurrency derivatives and CFD instruments. The company uses a monetization model through payment for evaluation stages and a share of profits from funded traders, generating income both from entry tests and from successful client trading.

Trading Rules
- Evaluation Formats
- Two formats to choose from, both with an unlimited trading period.
One-step — one phase. Profit target 10%, daily drawdown 4%, maximum loss 6%, minimum 5 trading days. After passing — a funded account with the same limits: daily drawdown 4%, maximum loss 6%.
- Two-step — challenge and verification. Phase 1: target 10%. Phase 2: target 5%. In both phases, daily drawdown 5%, maximum loss 10%, minimum 5 trading days in each — 10 days total. The verification phase is free. The funded account retains 5% and 10%.
- Account sizes: $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $200,000.
Profit Target
- Only realized profit from closed trades counts toward the target. There is no time limit: the target can be worked on for as long as needed, the evaluation does not expire.
Minimum Trading Days
- You need to trade a minimum of 5 separate days in the current cycle, opening at least one position on each of them. A day is counted by the trade closing date, regardless of holding duration.
For a day to be counted, the trade must meet two conditions:
trade volume — at least 5% of the initial account balance;
- trade PnL — at least ±1% of its volume.
- Example of non-count: account $100,000, trade $12,000, profit $80 — that's 0.66% of volume, minimum $120, day not counted. The profit earned still counts toward the profit target.
Even if the target is met faster, the minimum trading days still need to be completed.
Stop-Loss
- There is no mandatory stop-loss. Using stop-losses is recommended but not a condition for passing.
Daily Drawdown
- The limit cannot be exceeded during a single trading day. Reset is at 00:00 UTC. Floating losses, floating profits, and fees are included in the calculation; the system recalculates the drawdown multiple times during the day.
Standard (trailing) — calculated from the maximum equity reached during the day: daily drawdown = day peak − minimum equity after the peak, including unrealized PnL. Each new high moves the threshold up, making the limit stricter as profit grows.
- Swing (fixed) — a paid upgrade, purchased when setting up the challenge. Calculated from equity at the start of the day: threshold = start-of-day equity − (initial balance × drawdown percentage), and does not change within the day.
- Examples on a $5,000 account. Two-step, limit 5% ($250): peak $5,200, drop to $4,950 — limit exhausted. One-step, limit 4% ($200): peak $5,200, drop to $5,000 — limit exhausted. Swing, Two-step: start-of-day equity $4,900, threshold $4,650. Swing, One-step: start-of-day equity $4,900, threshold $4,700.
The cost of the Swing upgrade depends on the account size: Two-step — $29 for $5,000, $49 for $10,000, $89 for $25,000, $119 for $50,000, $179 for $100,000, $299 for $200,000. One-step — $39, $59, $119, $169, $229, and $419 respectively.
Maximum Loss
- One-step — 6%, Two-step — 10%. The limit is calculated on equity and includes both realized and unrealized results. The rule applies both at the evaluation stage and on the funded account.
Maximum Loss per Trade
- The realized loss on any single position must not exceed 3% of the initial account balance. Closing a position with a larger loss is considered a rule violation. The rule is checked manually, not by an automated system: if in doubt, contact support.
Profit Split Rule — 40%
- No single trading day can contribute more than 40% of the trader's total net result, counting both profits and losses. A day's contribution is calculated by its net result from all closed trades that day. The rule applies only during evaluation phases — it does not apply on the funded account.
Example: target $500 on a $5,000 account, daily results +$320, +$100, +$40, +$22, +$18. The maximum allowable contribution of one day is $200. Of the $320 on the first day, only $200 will count, the remaining $120 is not counted.
Funded Account Limits
- Maximum exposure — total margin on open positions no more than 25% of the initial balance. For a $10,000 account, this is $2,500.
- Total notional value of open positions — no more than 2× the initial balance. For a $10,000 account, this is $20,000.
- Both limits apply only after passing the evaluation and do not apply during the evaluation stage. Exceeding them may lead to penalties or account closure. Daily drawdown and maximum loss continue to apply on the funded stage without changes.
Illiquid Altcoins
- An asset is considered illiquid if its market cap is below $100 million, daily volume is in the range of $500 thousand — $5 million, or it is placed in the Innovation Zone as recently listed.
Total exposure in all such assets — no more than 5% of the initial balance, including leverage, at any point in time. Consequences of violation: transfer to a new challenge, and only 40% of profit from trades in illiquid assets counts toward the profit target.
Leverage
- The trader sets the leverage themselves, maximum — 100x. On Bybit and in the Tealstreet terminal, 50x to 100x is available for most altcoins. On CLEO, the default is 10x, changeable up to 100x for all available altcoins.
Instruments and Platforms
- USDT perpetual futures are traded. Spot and CFD are not supported.
Bybit — trading on the trader's own account, connected via API. Over 700 pairs, leverage up to 100x.
- Tealstreet — terminal with real Bybit order book data. Over 700 pairs, leverage up to 100x.
- CLEO — account created automatically, Binance market data. Over 500 pairs, leverage up to 100x.
- All available Bybit USDT pairs are allowed, including tokenized stocks, oil, and metals. Instruments not available on Bybit as USDT pairs are not supported.
Fees
- Bybit and Tealstreet, VIP 0 rates for USDT perpetuals: maker 0.0200%, taker 0.0550%. CLEO replicates Binance fees: maker 0.0200%, taker 0.0500%; the actual amount may be slightly higher due to slippage.
Automation and API
- Trading bots connected via API are allowed — proprietary, custom, and third-party. The trader can generate an API key themselves and connect it to their trading setup.
Copy trading, trade mirroring, and external signal providers are prohibited, as are high-frequency trading and any strategies aimed at exploiting or manipulating the platform's infrastructure, execution, pricing, delays, and risk management mechanisms.
Prohibited Actions
- Trading the EUR/USD pair, USDC pairs, and options.
- Spot trading in a futures challenge and combining spot with margin trading on the same account.
- Requesting additional demo funds and changing the USDT balance.
- Deleting or changing the API key.
- Martingale strategy — doubling the stake after a losing trade.
- Hedging between two or more accounts. Hedging is allowed on one Bybit account; not supported on the CLEO platform.
- Exceeding the exposure limit for illiquid altcoins.
- Trading exclusively on news. However, closing positions before news releases is not required — trading during news is allowed in normal mode.
- Position Holding
- Closing positions overnight is not required. Holding overnight and over weekends is allowed.
Inactivity
- If the last trading day is older than 30 days, the account is disabled. A trading day is considered the day a trade is closed, not opened.
Rule Violations
- If trading goals are violated, the account is immediately voided and excluded from the evaluation process. If violated on an active account, the agreement is terminated. You can start over by purchasing a new challenge; there are no discounts for repeat attempts.
Accounts undergo regular manual checks for signs of gambling and an "all-or-nothing" approach. At extremely high risk, the platform may issue a warning, remove profit from the account, adjust the payout, temporarily reduce the profit split, reject a withdrawal request, or completely close the account.
Scaling
- The total capital allocation per trader is no more than $200,000 across all challenges, verifications, and funded accounts simultaneously. Multiple challenges can be run, but exceeding the limit leads to disqualification in the verification phase or closure of funded accounts.
To transition to larger capital, there is a scaling plan with a target of up to $1,000,000: a total profit of at least 20%, a positive account balance at the time of the request, and reinvestment of part of the profit into new challenges are required. Top traders can move to the Crypto Trading Floor and work with the company's real capital.
Who Can Participate
- Traders from any country are accepted, age — from 18 years, no special qualifications or education required. The platform does not impose its own country restrictions.
Traders working through Bybit must use their own Bybit account and comply with the exchange's rules: trading on Bybit from countries restricted by its terms is not allowed. For such traders, the Tealstreet terminal and CLEO platform are available — they have no country restrictions. Traders from the US and UK can participate; from regions restricted by Bybit, the use of Bybit demo accounts is allowed at their own risk.
Participation Fee and Refundable Deposit
- Participation is paid in cryptocurrency or by credit card; the preferred method is crypto. BTC, ETH, USDC, DOGE, LTC, DAI, BCH, APE, SHIB are accepted, as well as transfers on the Polygon network — MATIC, USDC, ETH.
The challenge fee is a refundable deposit, not a non-refundable evaluation fee. It is returned as a separate crypto transaction along with the first profit split payout after successful completion. In the Two-step format, the verification phase is provided free of charge.
Participation cost for the One-step format: $69 for a $5,000 account, $129 for $10,000, $299 for $25,000, $499 for $50,000, $749 for $100,000, and $1,299 for $200,000. For the Two-step format: $59, $119, $249, $379, $579, and $969 respectively. The version with Swing drawdown costs more: One-step — $108, $188, $418, $668, $978, and $1,718; Two-step — $88, $168, $338, $498, $758, and $1,268.

Payout Policy
- Profit Split
- All traders start with 80% of profit in their favor. For every 4 months of trading on a funded account, the share increases by 5% and reaches a maximum of 90% after 16 months. The share increase is part of the scaling plan.
When the First Payout is Available
- A payout request can be submitted on the same day the first trade is executed on the account. There is no need to wait for a separate settlement period.
Minimum Amount
- To request a payout, you need to earn at least $100 in profit after the split between the trader and the company.
Maximum Amount of a Single Payout
- The maximum for a single payout is 5%. Profit must be withdrawn upon reaching this threshold: if the trader does not submit a request and profit exceeds 5%, the excess is not paid out.
Processing Time
- Requests are processed within 12–24 hours, with a typical time of less than 12 hours.
Currency and Fees
- Payouts are made in USDT or USDC stablecoins. No withdrawal fee is charged.
Challenge Deposit Refund
- The refundable challenge deposit is returned as a separate crypto transaction along with the first profit split payout.
Transition to Real Capital
- After passing the evaluation, the trader receives a simulated funded account, from which payouts are available starting from $100 in profit. With consistent results and a total profit of 15%, the trader transitions to an account with real capital — a Bybit sub-account. From that point, the role of master trader in Bybit copy trading with income from subscriber fees also becomes available.
Conditions Under Which a Payout is Possible
- A payout is made only with full compliance with risk rules: daily drawdown, maximum loss, per-trade loss limit, exposure limits, and other trading conditions. If rules are violated, the company may reject or delay the payout.
If the Account is Failed but Remains in Profit
- On a simulated funded account, all accumulated profit is lost, and the account is closed. On a real capital sub-account, if profit remains after a violation, you can request a payout of the balance before the account is closed. Example: start $5,000, earned $550, then lost $250 due to daily drawdown — the remaining profit is available for withdrawal.
Manual Review Results
- Based on regular account reviews for excessive risk, the platform may remove profit, adjust the payout amount, temporarily reduce the profit split, or reject a withdrawal request.
Bonus Accounts
- Accounts obtained not by purchase but through participation in contests, giveaways, and referral programs have a profit split of 10% or 80% — it is fixed when the account is issued. Only one payout is allowed on such accounts, after which the account is closed.
